Pálmi Gunnarsson is a well-known name in Iceland, on one hand as a professional musician and on the other as a fly fishing enthusiast.
Pálmi has produced several TV series on fly fishing and for years he has been a columnist for one of the Icelandic newspapers, writing about fly fishing with conservation as a main theme. Pálmi is an author of a book, published in 2013, which he dedicated to his passion of fishing with a fly.
Born in Vopnafjörður, in the eastern region of Iceland, where fishing was a part of everyday routine, and with some of the best Atlantic salmon rivers running through his backyard, it was almost inevitable that he would fall for the sport and later for fly fishing. After years of learning from the best, guiding and teaching others followed as part of his dedication to the sport.
